The Hinds Head, whose origins date back to Tudor England, boasts a celebrated past with former patrons including the British Royal Family. The building has been offering locals and visitors to the village of Bray hospitality and refreshment for over six centuries. And now as this small rural village continues to attract visitors from all over the world as a gastronomic destination, the Hinds Head can once again take up the mantle.
The establishment is under the ownership of Heston Blumenthal of the internationally acclaimed 3 Michelin starred Fat Duck restaurant also of Bray and his business partner James Lee. The menu at The Hinds Head offers a selection of traditional British cuisine and in keeping with the history of the building; Heston Blumenthal has been working closely with the Tudor kitchen at Hampton Court Palace, in a bid to re-introduce historic British dishes which have not appeared on British menus for over 500 years. A separate bar menu offers lighter snacks, washed down with guest ales, and a carefully selected wine list.
The Hinds Head is above all a local village public house.
